On September 9th, 2024 the Departments of Labor, Treasury, and Health and Human Services released the final rule changes regarding the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. 

These updates emphasize stricter compliance requirements for non-quantitative treatment limitations (NQTLs) and enhance transparency in health plan disclosures. The key differences from our August 16th post include a more detailed framework for comparative analysis and the requirement for plans to address network adequacy.
